Reverend
Anna Valentin Scholarship

The Reverend Anna Valentin Scholarship was established in 2015 in memory of Reverend Anna
Valentin, mother to Vision Ministries’ founder and current presiding bishop, Bishop J. Z. Valentin,
Ph.D. Bishop Valentin envisioned a scholarship that would support high-achieving high school
students in Chattanooga who are exceptional in and out of the classroom. His mother was an
impactful woman, whose presence positively affected everyone around her. She was dignified,
strong-minded, and intelligent. Her presence filled a room and she was an outstanding leader.
The Purpose of this scholarship is to provide scholarships annually to deserving high school
seniors, from public schools around Chattanooga, who intend to further their education at a two
or four-year college or university.
